Are pre-car wash cleaners really helpful?

Pre-wash cleaners are often used by detailers as a  step prior to the actual contact washing process.

But what are these so-called “pre-wash products” anyway? And are they really effective, a gimmick or just a waste of money.

IT’S ABOUT GETTING THE DIRT OUT BEFORE THE WASH MITT TOUCHES THE BODYWORK

Pre-wash cleaners are designed to remove various kinds of dirt and contamination.

Insects and grime, for instance, are quite sticky. And when they’ve been “baked” by the sun, removing them without scratching your paintwork can be tricky.

Now, in most instances, using Snow Foam should probably be enough. But if you’re meticulous and particular, you’d need a pre-wash cleaner.

Our very own Citrus Wash is very effective in softening road grime, making the contact wash easier with less chance of any making scratches or swirls on your paintwork

This pre-wash cleaner is easy to use as well. You just spray it on and let it sit for a minute or two before rinsing it off, either using a foam lance, or diluting in a bottle and spraying liberally over the car.

You can then  proceed to cover your car in snow foam after this step to remove even more road grime to further reduce any risk of paintwork damage
